What is a historic resource survey?

Historic resource surveys are a planning tool to identify properties that may be eligible for designation as local landmarks, local historic districts, and listings in the National Register of Historic Places. They ensure that historically significant resources are recorded, and results are available for public use. Surveys gather information only - they do not include any zoning or land use changes.

Survey Boundary

The survey area is roughly bounded by Manor Road to the north, Lady Bird Lake to the south, Airport Boulevard to the east, and IH-35 to the west. These boundaries are expanded beyond the 2016 area.
